Pontes Salutis–A Journey That Continues

Pontes Salutis was founded in 2013 out of the experience of life within the Community Cenacolo. Over the years, it has followed its own path of growth and discernment, gradually discovering its place and mission within the charism that the Lord entrusted to us through Mother Elvira.

Today, Pontes Salutis serves as part of the Community Cenacolo, with the special mission of remaining close to people during the delicate period of life that follows their time in the Community. We seek to accompany them through the first steps of this new chapter, helping them remain faithful to the path they have discovered and to continue walking with confidence and hope.

At the same time, we want to be available to all those who feel called to enter the Community Cenacolo, as well as to their families, accompanying them from their very first encounter until they enter the Community.

We also wish to remain a helping hand for everyone who has lived the experience of the Community Cenacolo. If, along the way, they grow weary, lose heart, or stumble, we want them to know that they will always find in us an open door, a welcoming heart, and a place from which they can begin again. Pontes Salutis desires to be a bridge back—a living sign that no one is ever alone and that, with God’s grace, it is always possible to make a new beginning.

First and foremost, we entrust all our observations, ideas, and aspirations to God.

Our story

Pontes began in Zagreb as a cooperative, where members created products and developed social entrepreneurship through work and prayer (ora et labora). From these roots, the company Afilio DO ERGO SUM d.o.o. was born, which to this day promotes the same values in the marketplace.

Since 2023, Pontes Salutis has been in a new phase in Varaždin, in a space we associate with nature, agriculture, and new employment opportunities. Here, we are developing agricultural production and workshops that are becoming a place for growth – spiritual, personal, and professional.

Our mission

  • To support people leaving communes or recovering from addiction, helping them find their way in everyday life in a safe environment.
  • Create opportunities for work – in agriculture, food processing and social enterprise.
  • Build a community founded on prayer, trust and responsibility.

Our vision

We want to be a living bridge between spiritual life and the real economy, where work and faith meet, and the product becomes a sign of a new beginning.

Afilio Do Ergo Sum

- Work in the service of humanity

Afilio DO ERGO SUM d.o.o. was established in 2018, born out of the very life story of the Pontes Salutis cooperative.

The reason for its establishment was the need to preserve our social enterprise model and ensure stable operations, despite the legal restrictions in Croatia at the time.

The Varaždin Project aims to be a living synthesis of spirituality and economics:

a place where prayer is turned into work, and work opens new doors to life.

Here we wish to welcome and support people who have already been through a commune or a period of addiction, providing them with an opportunity for spiritual and personal renewal.

Bosanska Posavina

- a bridge of hope in a desolate land

In Bosanska Posavina, in the parish of Saint Anthony, we have begun a new mission.

This region, severely scarred by the Homeland War, was left almost deserted. The majority of the Catholic population was forcibly displaced, and the traces of life and community had been fading for years.
