In Bosanska Posavina, in the parish of Saint Anthony, we have begun a new mission.
This region, severely wounded by the Homeland War, was left almost deserted.
The majority of the Catholic population was forcibly displaced, and the traces of life and community had been fading for years.
The parish priest, Father Ivan Tolj, who lovingly restored the church, also wished to rekindle the life of the community.
He invited Pontes Salutis to take part – to open a path of return and hope, together with him.
What we do
- Poultry Farming – establishing a laying hen farm with approximately 2,000 birds as the foundation for a stable agricultural operation.
- Arable Farming – planting and growing a variety of crops for food and the local market.
- Residential House – already built, serving as the initial place for living and working together.
Our vision
The Bosnian Posavina Project aims to be a sign of return and renewal: a place where prayer and work meet, where people reconnect with their homeland, and the land becomes a source of new life.
This project is also a bridge of friendship between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as it involves members of Pontes Salutis from Croatia and new friends from Posavina.
